  1. So I utilize the Aspire BVC coils and have establish that 80vg ejuice gets gunky pretty fast and was wondering if at that place was a way to make clean these other and so dry called-for. I notice that subsequently i dry out burn down i have alot of dry hits.
  2. Let them soak in everclear/vodka over nighttime and see if that works better. 80vg is pretty thick for a BVC atomizer.

Don't dryburn those coils, you'll scorch the wick and the gyre will be ruined.
  4. Yous can but dry-burn down a coil that either has no wick (you've pulled out the wicking material) or a silica wick.

Since the filler on a BVC is not totally heat resistant, it will burn easily or even potentially catch fire. (I think I saw this...)

Soaking is the simply sensible method, or rebuilding.

  5. Try soaking them merely may non work
  6. Run a partial tank of 100% PG unflavored?

There are many on this forum that say that yous shouldn't "clean" the Aspire BVCs; that they are designed to be used and so discarded when yous get a funky taste or poor performance. Personally, I regularly rinse my coils in articulate hot water (under a running tap). By regularly, I mean every couple of days. Past cleaning the coils more frequently, the adventure of build up is minimized, even when using heavy VG e-liquid. If I've been using a specially strong tasting juice, I'll give the coil a vodka bath for a couple of hours (afterward the water rinse); I keep a pocket-sized corporeality of vodka in a babe food jar only for this purpose. I never dry out burn the coils, as this practice could definitely destroy the wicking textile and once the cloth is scorched, its useless; you'll e'er get a burnt taste. Instead, I volition set the done coils aside for a mean solar day or two and let them air dry. If you accept two or iii coils on the go, you will ever accept a fresh "cleaned" ringlet available to use. Right or incorrect, this is what I do and it works for me. I mostly vape four-5ml of e-liquid per twenty-four hours and prefer 60/xl PG/VG ratios. I have not noticed whatsoever degradation or breakup in my coils and I regularly go many weeks of use from one whorl.

Ultimately, y'all have to decide for yourself if this method is prophylactic and volition work for you.

  8. I've had good luck letting a gunked BVC coil soak in vodka for a few days, shaking it occasionally so accident and air dry. Information technology's not exactly similar new merely it is very vapeable. I'yard reusing ane right at present as a matter of fact.

  9. Yeah I don't dry fire any more cause information technology gives me a burnt taste. I have some rubbing booze that is 90% alcohol that I use to get rid of flavor ghosting. Would it be ok to soak a coil in this?

Good question and, unfortunately, I don't have the answer. I do know that all of the posts that I've read apropos cleaning our equipment, including coils, recommend the utilize of a consumable (drinkable) alcohol, i.due east. vodka or absolute. I don't know if denatured or rubbing booze could leave behind harmful residual eight-o
  11. Love BVC coils until I have to change flavors. I think I'one thousand gonna get a pill organizer and label them and assign them all a flavor.

I would not use rubbing/ denatured alcohol. It is not same to ingest, so why accept the chance that it leaves behind nastiness. Get some vodka or ever clear if you lot want to try alcohol. I soak em for an 60 minutes or a day, accident through the holes on the lesser, let 'em soak some more, then let them dry. Get two or 3 go arounds this way from gunky juice like high VG or some of the Naturally extracted tobaccos. Just, as others said, in one case it's burnt, information technology'southward burnt.

  15. Back in the fixed curlicue atty days, people would keep them separated every bit to whether Baker, Fruit, Tobacco. Worked pretty skillful.
  16. If history is any indication, sooner or later the prices will drop on these coils similar they did on Cartomisers and fixed gyre atties and re-using won't happen.
  17. I'm simply eighteen then getting those kinda alcohol is difficult. Equally for cleaning out the tank with rubbing alcohol I rinse it out quite a bit after.
  18. Works fine. There are plenty of us adults that don't drink or store alcohol. :) Good due north hot h2o works skillful also.
